This latest volume from Trolleybooks is by far the largest book published to date and will we hope set new standards in the layout and presentation of Trolleybooks publications.

Nottingham may be considered to be one of the pioneer UK trolleybus operators having commenced operations as early as 1927. It was inevitable therefore that there would be much more data and general information to be extracted from the various archives than for many other UK systems. Hence the comprehensiveness and detail in the landmark book.

2006 marks the fortieth anniversary of the demise of Nottingham's trolleybuses in June 1966. This publication is a fitting tribute to an excellent trolleybus system that served the city well for almost forty years. Nottingham's trolleybuses deserve to be remembered for the significant part that they played in the life of Nottingham in general and its transport system in particular.
