This is, perhaps, best described as a modestly-priced 48-page A5 landscape picture booklet, containing 44 full-page monotone photographs of trolleybuses spanning the world, irrespective of political barriers, which have been sourced from a number of reputable international trolleybus enthusiasts, together with two more on the front and back of the card cover.
Without exception, every view included has been selected to typify the trolleybus at work in a number of countries - and in particular depicting its operational environment. Every photograph will be noted for its clarity and the quality of reproduction is superb. All the photographs have been extensively and accurately captioned, the idea at the time being to encourage British public transport enthusiasts to discard any insular attitudes they had in their hobby and to plan holidays abroad which would include extending their interest to the local trolleybus system.
There was the opportunity, too, to depict to a wider market that although trolleybuses had been discarded in the United Kingdom, the concept was far from dead and there were brand new vehicles to be seen in various towns and cities around the world. Indeed, the booklet concludes with a two page schedule of all the known trolleybus systems extant at the time of publication.
